David Mandel has created one of my favorite movies of all time, Eurotrip. No, I'm not kidding. Eurotrip is a permanent place in my top three films all the time all the time. I'm going to defend its merits to death and I do not care what you think. Screw his recent work on Seinfeld and Curb Your Enthusiasm, Eurotrip is me.
In any case, Mandel (who also helped co-write the dictator's new film Sacha Baron Cohen) just got a lot of time, the impossible task of rewriting and re-boot and re-imagine Fletch Warner Brothers. Fletch was a way born-again, the best part of a decade, say it should keep the developmental disabilities in hell, until the current Armageddon happens.
