Lenny Kravitz has joined the cast of The Hunger Games in a role that fans of the trilogy by Suzanne Collins best-seller is eager to see completed.
The actor-musician played Cinna, the fashion designer assigned to Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence), while preparing to participate in the Hunger Games. Her stunning designs and play an integral role in its action only in the Games.
"When I saw the work of Precious Lenny, I was just eliminated," director Gary Ross said. "It was a powerful, yet quiet and discreet, honest: all the characteristics that define this character."
Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth also play in the film, which Lionsgate is set on the 23rd March.
Kravitz was nominated for an NAACP Image Award and a SAG Award along for her portrayal of Precious. She also appeared Diving Bell and the Butterfly, and Zoolander. He is set to release his ninth studio album, black and white America, August 30
