According to latest reports, his film DABANGG very popular, the largest sweep of this year's awards, has bagged the award for entertainer of healthy fifty-eighth in 2010 at the prestigious National Awards announced in New Delhi.
Neetu and Rishi Kapoor starrer DO DOON MARK won the national award for the best Hindi film, Vishal Bhardwaj Ishqiya but won two national awards - the best music and best playback female singer, his wife Rekha Bhardwaj. Suresh Wadkar put up the prize for best male playback singer
The national award for best actor was shared by Malayalam actor Salim Kumar for Tamil actor Dhanush ADAMINTE Makan and UVA for AADUKALAM. Veerimaran Tamil film director was named best director.
Marathi actress Mitalee Paradhar Jagtap and Tamil cinemas Saranya Privannan won the National Award for best actress for their performances in movies and Baboo BAND Baaja THENMERKU PARUVAKKAATRU respectively.
CHAMPIONS, a Marathi film bags National Award for best film on social issues.
