Thane (Maharashtra), April 24 (IANS) during an event to remember her father Dinanath Mangeshkar, Lata Mangeshkar singing diva was commended for his contribution to music by Sunday evening.
Organized to mark the death anniversary of Dinanath Mangeshkar 69th Pratap Shiv Sena legislator Sarnaik Thane city, the program also attended the Executive President Uddhav Thackeray part.
Thackeray was presented an idol Lata Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar as it happened to her birthday Sunday.
Emotional Lata Thackeray expressed his gratitude for the honor and said it was 25 years old, who was visiting Thane, about 40 km from Mumbai.
"I'll be here for 25 years and I thank all those who took the trouble to invite me here," he said.
Also present at the occasion were Meenatai Mangeshkar, Asha and Usha Mangeshkar Bhonsale, sisters Lata.
Bollywood actor Dharmendra and singer Ustad Gulam Mustafa Khan has been conferred the Master Dinanath Mangeshkar Award for his contribution to the entertainment industry to operate.
"I remember I was only 13 when my father died. The beginning I used to honor him for his death anniversary only singing songs, he taught me, "Lata said with emotion.
"It was not until 1989 that we formed the Dinanath Mangeshkar Smruti Pratishthan and then we can form a special prize," he added.
