Eros International Media Ltd. (Eros International), the largest film studio built in India has announced the start of shooting of Rajinikanth RANA April 29, 2011. Directed by KS Ravikumar, the film will begin with a bid for Rajinikanth with the players and the team in Chennai to celebrate the occasion.
Announced earlier this year, RANA is a magnum opus with the role of playing live action triple and Rajinikanth will be released in Tamil, Hindi and Telugu. With Rajini, the film stars Deepika Padukone, Ileana D'Cruz and Sonu Sood.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. KS Ravikumar Director said: "RANA has a strong story, a very interesting cast coupled with superstar Rajinikanth in a triple role and promises to have amazing visual effects will certainly make the film India to the next level.

film music is scored by AR Rahman, director of photography and editing would have made Ratnavelu Antony. Soundarya Rajnikanth is technical director, ocher and Visual Impact UK, a company Ochre Studios Pvt Ltd., and Charles Darby and Eyeqube Studios, which is known as the visual effects genius and Emmy winner, is a creative and visual effects supervisor special film. The film is designed to release the FY 2012.
Eros International, in collaboration with NextGen Films will produce the film through Rana Production Ltd., United Kingdom.
