Bhojpuri actor Manoj Tiwari was one of many who were injured in the altercation that took place at the Ramlila Maidan on Saturday night last.
Tiwari, who has returned to Mumbai on Sunday night, said: "I was sleeping in the pandal when I was awakened by police boots that stamp to me."
"I was chased by the police with lathis. I had to run at least 3-4 km to save my life," said Tiwari, who is now in Mumbai.
"Although my injuries are not visible enough, my body aching because of lathis I received the police," he added.
Baba Ramdev of desperate hunger strike against corruption ended in violence early Sunday as a large contingent of police raided the site of the protest with tear gas and baton charge, while the same yoga guru was expelled from Delhi.
Tiwari was the only celebrity in the glamorous world to attend Ramdev Ramlila Maidan.
