Double Dhamaal: Rs 1.5 Cr Casino Together!

Mumbai, May 01 - The filmmakers are known to pay big bucks to run in place or the authentic atmosphere and mood right. In the case of double dhamaal producer Ashok Thakeria had to build a set from one casino to Mehboob Studio in Bandra at a cost of R 1.5 million rupees.

Mallika Sherawat's item song "Jalebi BAI ..." and the height of his next comedy, Double Dhamaal, working with Reliance Entertainment, has been filmed here.

Although the director Indra Kumar could have filmed scenes in casinos in Goa or Macao, he did not think it would be possible. "They take us several hours in a day and that too at night. Since we committed to take all day, we had no choice but to build this together," says Thakeria. Much of the climax of the movie was filmed in Macao as well. It was the pictures that the production team has clicked on their trips to Macau, which inspired the set design in Mumbai.
