Tim Burton has turned away from Maleficent, Disney fantasy that his team would be Angelina Jolie.
Maleficent is a live-action Disney Sleeping Beauty take, tells a tale from the perspective of an evil witch, who threatened to kill the princess. Disney years ago, put the name of a witch who had gone to a different anonymous account. Later, the queen of the green-skinned evil that turns into a dragon has become one of the most popular of Disney villains of all time.
Burton was only slightly affected the project, but his participation was significant that last year the studio hired Burton, Alice in Wonderland collaborator Linda Woolverton, who also wrote Disney's The Lion King, to write the script. The project is developed as a vehicle for Jolie.
Disney is not about to put animation Evil must be stopped to sleep. The study is now the new leader of the hunt. A name that you got up early in the research, David Yates, who directed all four previous Harry Potter films.
And Burton did not leave Disney. He is currently a full-length stop-motion version of his 1984 short Frankenweenie. The film is due for release October 5, 2012.
